what a day!

Assalammualaikum..

Ouh..today I'm sooo tired, frustrated and sad...You want to know why? Let me tell you from the very beginning...

For Preparatory English subject, my group was supposed to present our project in the class today. So I'm getting ready for the presentation. I woke up early in the morning, and I went to the shop in front of Cyberia to print the report and the slides to give to the lecturer..

I was sooo nervous. I was preparing and memorizing so hard that I missed my lunch..My class was at 2pm-5pm and during 10am-1pm I was practicing my presentation. In the class, my group turn is number 5, and believe it or not, I was sweating in the class, even though the air cond is on because I was so nervous and scared.

By the time my group is going to present, we went in front. One of my group member is getting ready to introduce each and everyone of us when suddenly my lecturer said, "Ok..take a break for two minutes". My reaction? oh no...I was ready...Trying to cool down, I waited for 2 minutes. Actually I cant stand the pressure of waiting. I hate it. I just want this presentation to be done as soon as possible so
that I will feel relieve.

Two minutes done. My group waited to go in front again and guess what...The lecturer announced my group will present next week. Ohh! I'm soooo dissappointed. seriously. :( I'm speechless because I waited for the moment to present. I didn't eat the whole day just to be prepared for the presentation. Ya ya i know. I'm foolish.:P hehe..

Here, I'm using "Episodic Knowledge", to share what I've gone through or experienced today.
Episodic knowledge is the part of a person's memory that includes things he/she might have done or events (episodes) he/she might have experienced.

Feeling disappointed because I'm not able to present today, my group mate tried to cheer me up by saying, "Dada..don't be like this..chill...let's take some pictures even though we didn't present today". She know my interest. I love to take pictures a lot,so I agreed with her. hehe. Below are the pictures( can you spot the sadness on my face)? :)

lazy me(used to be) :D

Assalamualaikum and hi everybody!
:)

We meet again on a brand new day..everyday is a brand new day, right? :)
hurm...I've been thinking for a while what to write...and i decided to write about my family!
It's been a while since last I met my parents...I miss them like crazy..:(

Well. before this, I used to be lazy..very, very lazy during my secondary school..
I dont like studying..I prefer to watch television..a lot.:) For me watching tv is more fun than study. My mom always scold me..she ask me to study but I always said, " later la mama, I'm tired"..
Oh I was sooooooo stubborn to listen to them!
During my SPM examination, I study last minute..and the result? U guess! hehe..not very well..it was average.
And by that time I knew I had dissappointed my parents. I felt guilty. Really, really guilty.

Then I got offered by MMU..to study Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering.Before sending me to MMU Melaka, my dad said to me the words that I'll never forget for the rest of my life;

"Be serious and study hard. If u dont, you will fail all the subjects and you wont be able to graduate like everybody else. When u dont be able to graduate means u wont be able to get a good job. So u'll be a useless person, who has no diploma, no job and perhaps no bf. You'll end up living a terrible, lonely life for good. So, u should study from now if you dont want all these to happen."

His words really make me worried. Worried of what will happen in my future, if i continue to be a lazy person. Terrified, i took his words as a spirit for me to study hard and to achieve success in my future.

Starting from that day, I study hard during my diploma. As a result, I managed to get Dean list every semester. Alhamdullillah...I finally can make my parent smile with my result..:) I love them so much. I promise I wont let them down again. Never. Ever. Thanks to you both Abah and Mama, u save my future. :)

Ok. After learning about fallacies with Madam Aznur and Madam Jessica, now i realize that my dad's words is an "Ad populum appeal to indirect consequences".

This argument states that should one event occur, so will other harmful events. There is no proof made that the harmful events are caused by the first event .

This type of persuasion is intended to make the listener/reader so worried about the future that they will agree with the conclusion.
It is also called as "Slippery Slope Argument"

If u dont study hard
.
.
.

Then u will fail all the subjects
.
.
.

Then u wont be able to graduate like evrybody else
.
.
.

Then u wont be able to get a good job
.
.
.
Then u'll be a useless person
.
.
.
Then u'll end up being lonely and poor
.
.
.
So u should study hard

Eventhough my dad's words/ arguments has no proof and was only intended to make me worried, but still, what he said make me think of my future. Thank you abah! and mama too...:)

Akademi Fantasia 6

Yesterday ( Sunday) i did the Free Writing Technique and I had highlighted some words that I think might be useful for me to use it when i want to write the next blog. So, i will use one of those words in my blog today, which is
"Akademi Fantasia". :D

I'm a huge fan of Akademi Fantasia. For me this reality tv show is very unique and has a lot of elements inside it such as tears, happiness, angry and etc. And ohhh i never miss the weekly AF concert. I enjoyed watching it at home, but I wish that i can see it live, in front of my eyes. :)

What would i feel if i can see this concert in live? Would I be excited? Or happy? That's what I'm going to figured out. And to do that, I will use the "Mental Excursion" technique which we already learn in Tutorial 7(part 2) with Madam Jessica.

There are three levels of feelings:

  • SENSATIONS ----> A physical feeling caused by having one or more of the sense organs ( eyes, ears, nose, taste, sense) stimulated.
----> Ex: cold or chill, hot, windy, hurt, sour, beautiful.
  • EMOTIONS ----> A mental state that arises spontaneously rather than through conscious effort and is often accompanied by physiological changes.
----> Ex:Interest, joy, surprise, anger, shame, guilt.

  • INTERPRETATIONS ----> The act or process of interpreting something.
----> Ex: Interpreting what are the factors causing the event to happen

Ok. Here it goes. I'm trying to imagine what it feel if i was in MPPJ hall, watching Akademi Fantasia concert..

SENSATIONS :

  • I see a lot of people in a hurry to go inside the hall before the concert started. Maybe they are excited to see the concert.
  • I see the fans bringing and holding banners and posters of their favorite students of Akademi Fantasia.
  • Inside the hall, when the concert is about to start, I hear the audiences clapping, shouting and cheering to the students.
  • I feel quite hot sitting there and I'm sweating, maybe because there are a lot of people inside the hall.
  • I hear all the students singing their songs. Some are good and some are terrible in their performances.
  • One of my favorite contestant, Stacy from Sabah, look so beautiful and stunning that night.

EMOTIONS:

  • I'm very, very excited because this is my first time to watch the concert live, in front of my eyes. It's like a dream come true! :D
  • I'm so glad and happy to see my favourite contestant, Stacy being compliment by the juries right after her performance.
  • I'm frustrated to see Faisal, a contestant from Kuala Lumpur being eliminated that night.

INTERPRETATIONS:
  • The factors that causing this concert to happen is the contestants themselves. They are the factors that attract the audiences/fans to come and watch their performances.
  • Their performances includes singing, dancing, and sometimes a little bit of acting.

BlaNk Day

Hye All...

Ohh..today I'm sooooo blank! What happen to me? What to do? I still don't know what to write..Plz, plz, help me..
What to write? What? What? What? What? What? Aiyoooo.......
Think Dada, think...hurm..think hard..harder...harder..................

AHA!

<-----The "Aha" is what we called insight, and it is during this contemplative period that an idea will often “pop” into your head … allowing you to see the problem and its possible solutions from a unique perspective. It probably occurs in very much the same way with humans..
initial attempts to solve a problem create frustration and confusion..followed by a period of contemplation and hard thinking.Insight provides us with creative solutions to problems … often allowing us to act safely or to succeed when we would otherwise fail.

I remember something! During the tutorial 8 class with Miss Jessica, we learned about

"Free Writing Technique"

This exercise is particularly good to do as a "warm up" before starting writing proper. Hey, I am gonna try this one because i'm sooo blank right now..hehe..

I took a piece of paper..i wrote whatever comes into my mind and here is what i got:

Sleep. hungry. handphone. pen. blank. television. radio . concert. blank.blank.blank.hot and spicy. sofa. room. bed. family.love.tree.flowers.blank.blank.mineral water. pensil case.hotlink. bed . akademi fantasia .ice cream. chocolate.

Of all these words, i have highlighted family, akademi fantasia, hotlink, radio, television and handphone as interesting. I will use them later as an idea for me to write my blog. yeay! :)

Hehe...
See you later. :)

Ohh my friends...

Assalammualaikum..

I still remember that during the last lecture class, Madam told us that for this assignment, we can also listen to our friends' conversation, and analyze the sentences..Well I've been hearing my friend's conversation for these two days, and i found something that is related to what I've learned in critical thinking classes! =)

It was between Nana, Azie and me...the conversation was in my car, when we just got back from group discussion in campus..below was the conversation:

Nana: My little brother is really, really bad.
Azie: Why is that so?
Nana: Because he's so naughty.Urghhh...(angry)
Dada: What happen? what he did to u?
Nana: Better for u guys not to know.
Azie: Ok then..hey i'm starving. let's go eat at D'Arif. My friend said that the restaurant is clean and always full of people. So i bet that the foods they are serving must be delicious too.
Dada: Oh really? Yes why not we give it a try..

Implementing this conversation towards Critical Thinking prospect,
  • My little brother is really, really, bad. Because he's so naughty. <---- This is Petitio Principii Fallacy because it involeves statement represented by "S is true, because S is true". The phrases mean essentially the same.
  • What happen? what he did to u?<---- This is Interroragative questions. It's a question intended to solicit some information.
  • Ok then..hey i'm starving. let's go eat at D' Arif. My friend said that the restaurant is clean and always full of people. So i bet that the foods they are serving must be delicious <---- This is Fallacy of Sweeping Generalisation. It is because Object A has Characteristic 1, object A also will have Characterictic 2, 3, 4 even if they are not very much like Characterictic 1.

Okay. Back to the story. I decided to try the food in D'Arif,so we went there. My first impression when i walk into the restaurant is "Azie was right. This restaurant is as clean as pure water". I ordered Penang Fried Koeteow and ice lemon tea. And yeah it was delicious. The koetoew was more delicious than pizza hut(for me) :P

It is worth it to eat there. The price is affordable too. I recommend each of MMU student to at least try to eat the food there once. Hehe..

There is several Simile at my above sentences.

"Simile is
a special form of comparison – where you compare the current subject, object or action to some other idea that creates an image"

  • Azie was right. This restaurant is as clean as pure water.
  • The koetoew was more delicious than pizza hut.

Ok i guess that's all for now..See you in the next entry..daaa...:)

A picture worth a thousand words..

Hello..everyone.:)

I was browsing some websites, finding ideas on what to write in my blog when i came across one picture..and i know that i can do something with that picture..=) finally!

I will use "Unknown Biography" technique, which is :

"Take a picture from a newspaper, magazine or poster. Create an identity for the person and write a brief description of what was happening just before, just after and just as the picture was taken."

This is the very first picture..

Cute, right? :)
This baby is a girl and she is one year old. Before the picture was taken, she was dressed up by her mother. Then they bring her a cake and light a candle, and sang a birthday song to her. Just as the picture was taken, she ate the cake because she like it. After that, she play the gifts that her parent gave to her, which is a doll.

Here goes the second one:

They are siblings. The left one is the elder n the right one is younger sister. Before the picture was taken, they are arguing with each other about who should turn off the light before sleeping.
( it really happens in real life =) ). When the picture is taken, they are fighting with hands strangle each other. After that, the elder sister surrender and she turn off the light because their parents stops them from doing so.

27?? :)

Assalammualaikum..

My first blog will be about....a movie! =) I love to watch lots and lots of movies..and when Madam told us about Assignment 2, there was nothing that i could think of other than movie. hehe..=P

Well here it goes..last week..me and my friends went to Sunway Pyramid but when we reached there...we still dont have a clue what movie to watch..i was thinking and thinking when suddenly my eyes were attracted to a big poster in front of the TGV cinema.

Yeahhh 27 Dresses! I told my friends, that is the movie we shouldn't miss but they don't agree with me. But few minutes later they surrendered (after i showed my sad, pity face) =) so without wasting any time we bought the ticket and went inside to watch...

Ohhh the movie turned up to be sooooo nice, interesting and romantic . This movie is worth watching. I love the movie so much..especially the ending..it's a breathtaking scene ! ;) Eventhough i love the ending but still, if I was a director i would make a different but nicer ending..maybe funnier?hehe..

So i will write a new ending of the 27 dresses...which is a funny ending..i'm sure everyone will love this movie even more.:P (or maybe i'm the only one).hehehe...I will use "Re-writing the Ending" technique.

I tried to upload the video for Madam and you guys to watch but its not working. So, do read the synopsis yeah!

Director: Anna Fletcher
Cast: Brian Kerwin, Charli Barcena, Peyton List,Jane Pfitsch, Alexa Gerasimovich, Katherine Heigl
Genre: Comedy,Romance
Run Time: 110mins

Jane (Katherine Heigl) is a vivacious New Yorker with a great job, a great apartment and a collection of ugly bridesmaid dresses she'll never wear again. She is so enamoured in other people's love lives that she is guilty of 'wedding-hopping', a feat witnessed by Kevin (James Marsden), a newspaper reporter who realises that a great story on this 'always-a-bridesmaid' is his ticket off the wedding beat. Jane's precise, organised life is disrupted when sexy younger sister Tess (Malin Akerman) arrives from Europe and immediately captures the heart of George, Jane's boss (Ed Burns). Accommodating Jane is enlisted to plan yet another wedding but there's a serious complication - Jane is secretly and desperately in love with George! (www.tgv.com.my)

Yes Jane is madly in love with her boss,George. But the worst thing is her sister, Tess n George is getting married and she will be managing all the wedding stuffs! She is hurt so she spent more time hanging out with Kevin. At the end, George cancel the wedding when Jane reveals that Tess is lying to him about some stuffs. Jane thought that she will be happy, but she's not. The ending of this movie is when Jane finally realize that Kevin is the ONE for her. So she ran to a wedding n tell in front of everyone that she is falling in love with Kevin. They kissed and after one year later, they get married by the beach, with 27 bridesmaid wear the 27 dresses that was hers. And she wear the 28th dresses. Sweet isn't it?

The new, funny ending would be like this:

During her wedding, when she is walking down the isle and everyone is looking at her, she FARTS! It is quite loud so everyone hears it. Some people laugh and she got ashamed. Blushing, she continue walk to Kevin. When she arrive in front of Kevin, they look at each other with a meaningful stare(romantic mode). Kevin was about to speak something when AGAIN, everyone hears a fart. This time it is a LOUD one. They laugh at Jane.Kevin grin and speak out loud, "this time it was me,dude". Everyone laugh even louder at both couple who farts on their wedding day. After they were pronounced as husband and wife, they kiss. One of the 27 bridesmaids get so excited to see them married, she's jumping happily and guess what's happen next? Yes.. she fall into the beach! :P

and that will be the end..

That's all for today..See ya tomorrow!
